Stand at Cornavin: 15 & 16 October 2021

To mark World Food Day on Saturday 16 October 2021, the Partage food bank, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), ma-terre, the City of Geneva and the Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) invite you to discover their joint stand in the central hall of Cornavin station on 15 and 16 October.

The theme of this year’s World Food Day is « Acting for the future. Improving production, nutrition, the environment and living conditions », by highlighting sustainable agri-food systems.

At a time when the food crisis has been exacerbated tenfold by the pandemic, a number of players are trying to respond to it, through actions to combat food waste, promote local food and short distribution channels, and advocate the right to food for all. The missions and objectives of the organisers, who operate at international, national and local level, all revolve around this theme.

In this sense, the stand at Cornavin station represents an opportunity to raise public awareness of the actions of each institution, around a common theme. A variety of activities will be on offer, including soup made from slightly stale vegetables, quizzes and other entertainment.

We look forward to seeing you there!
