What is the label Partage?
« Label Partage » is a label created by Partage, the Geneva food bank. It is awarded to stores that fight food waste by giving their unsold goods to the food bank instead of throwing them out.
Foodstuffs and hygiene products are redistributed to charitable institutions in the canton of Geneva to help people living in precarious situations.

Who can benefit from the label?
Any company or business in the canton of Geneva wishing to commit to sustainable development and show solidarity with people in need.
Criteria to be obtain the label :
- Due to hygiene regulation requirements, food products must be packaged and labeled. The best before date must not be exceeded.
- The merchandise donated to Partage must be consumable and must not contain more than 10% waste.
- The collaboration with Partage must be long-term while maintaining a permanent exchange to optimize and improve collections.
- The company must make a significant commitment to the fight food waste.
- The company is aware that Partage is a private foundation funded largely by private donations. The company helps reduce Partage’s costs through deliveries or donations.
- Social responsibility is part of the company’s objectives.
- The company is being responsible by developing business strategies that focus on sustainability.
- The company is committed to communicating its commitment to the Partage food bank, to its employees, customers and suppliers.
