Every week, Partage provides essential food aid to 15,500 people in precarious situations, through solidarity grocery stores, shelters and similar institutions.
In this context, Partage makes a point of distributing fresh produce, especially fruit and vegetables. These products, essential for a balanced diet, are at the heart of a new distribution system called ColiShop, managed by the Fondation Les Colis du Coeur. This system enables healthy produce to be distributed in an optimized and accessible way, directly to people in need.
To meet this objective, Partage works closely with theUnion Maraîchère de Genève (UMG). The UMG brings together market gardeners from the Geneva region, and is committed to promoting local, sustainable and environmentally-friendly agriculture. By purchasing seasonal fruit and vegetables from the UMG, Partage promotes short supply chains, reducing our ecological footprint while supporting the local economy.
This ambitious project is made possible thanks to the support of various partners, including the SV Fondation. In 2024, SV Fondation provided invaluable assistance, enabling Partage to improve and expand its distribution system for healthy products. This partnership underlines the importance of collective commitment to meeting the basic needs of vulnerable populations.
Thanks to these initiatives, Partage continues to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people, offering them much more than food aid: quality food that respects their health and the environment.
